Job summary

The Foreman position at Performance Energy Services involves supervising crews to achieve top quality workmanship while maintaining safety and efficiency. The role reports to the Superintendent within the Onshore/Offshore/International division.

Required are a high school diploma and 5+ years in Oil & Gas preferred, plus strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with Adobe, Word, Excel and Outlook is expected; background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in Oil & Gas preferred.
  • Basic written and verbal skills.
  • Experience using Adobe, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen; complete required Performance Energy Services training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team to ensure top quality workmanship, efficiency and morale.
  • Assist the Superintendent with distribution of company products and services.
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine requirements.
  • Coordinate goods and services in/out of production facilities.
  • Address staff questions and requests for service and equipment.
  • Monitor personnel and equipment locations and utilization.
  • Prepare work orders and determine types or amounts of equipment, materials or personnel needed.
  • Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
  • Obey and follow all safety rules; wear PPE.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Foreman is responsible for supervising crews to obtain top quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, morale, communication, commitment, teamwork and pride.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(This is a representative list of the duties the position may be asked to perform and is not intended to be all-inclusive.)

  • Lead and manage a team by training, developing and coaching employees on a consistent basis
  • Assist the Superintendent with activities of business and departments concerned with the distribution of company products and services
  • Read and understand specifications such as blueprints and data to determine specific requirements
  • Coordinate the movement of goods and services in and out of production facilities
  • Discuss with staff and workers to address questions, problems and requests for service and/or equipment
  • Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization in order to coordinate service and schedules
  • Receive/prepare work orders and determine types or amounts of equipment, materials or personnel required to work orders or specifications
  • Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
  • Obey and follow all safety rules and policies
  • Wear all appropriate safety equipment (PPE)
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • 5+ years working within the Oil & Gas Industry preferred
  • Basic written and verbal skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
  • Experience in Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to work in a fast paced environment under pressure, maintain honesty and integrity and have great time mangement skills
  • For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
  • For new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy Services
