Job summary

The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) is seeking an Agriculture and Foreign Labor Specialist to lead foreign labor certification efforts across Arizona. You will coordinate outreach, housing inspections, and employer meetings, guiding applicants through DOL regulations and the H-2A/H-2B programs while supporting performance targets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of interviewing techniques, assessment tools, and transferable skills.
• Understanding of social, cultural, and economic conditions affecting populations served.
• Experience with Google Suite.
• Strong customer service, teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to learn and apply federal and state laws, regulations and procedures.
• Ability to plan and organize work per priorities and time management.
• Ability to work independently and in diverse teams.
• Ability to work with clients of diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Travel and conduct outreach events, housing inspections, field checks, orientations, and employer meetings across Arizona.
• Perform Agricultural Prevailing Wage and Practice Surveys statewide.
• Maintain accurate records and reports for Labor Department and enforcement agencies.
• Handle complaints and provide stakeholder education; promote ARS recruitment for domestic workers.
• Support Foreign Labor Certification processes and related programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
