Job summary

K2 Group, Inc. in Hawaii, Pearl City is seeking a Foreign Clearance Program Specialist to advise clients within the strategic deterrence and nuclear integration mission set.

You will analyze operational workflows, conduct stakeholder discussions, and provide actionable roadmaps to optimize processes while ensuring strict compliance with host-nation sovereignty laws, foreign clearance requirements, and arms control agreements.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of direct experience processing country and theater clearances.
  • Strong knowledge of foreign clearance procedures and travel reporting protocols.
  • Experience with APACS policy and procedures.
  • Formal training: FDO, Antiterrorism Level II, OPSEC Level II, DTS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, National Security Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end processing and coordination of country clearances and theater clearances for personnel and mission assets.
  • Evaluate organizational structures, day-to-day operations, and outcomes; identify process improvements and present strategic recommendations to team leads and client stakeholders.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, visits, and high-level conferences to gather operational insights and align compliance efforts.
  • Utilize data analysis tools -Including Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and specialized databases- to maintain accurate travel, compliance, and reporting records.
  • Interpret and apply Department foreign clearance procedures, international travel reporting guidelines, and applicable international agreements to support global military operations.

Foreign Clearance Program Specialist

As a Foreign Clearance Program Specialist, you will advise clients within the strategic deterrence and nuclear integration mission set. You will analyze operational workflows, conduct stakeholder discussions, and provide actionable roadmaps to optimize processes while ensuring strict compliance with host-nation sovereignty laws, foreign clearance requirements, and arms control agreements.

Duties:
  • Manage end-to-end processing and coordination of country clearances and theater clearances for personnel and mission assets in compliance with Defense regulations.
  • Evaluate current organizational structures, day-to-day operations, and outcomes; identify process improvements and present strategic recommendations to team leads and client stakeholders.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, visits, and high-level conferences to gather operational insights and align compliance efforts.
  • Utilize data analysis tools -Including Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and specialized databases- to maintain accurate travel, compliance, and reporting records.
  • Interpret and apply Department foreign clearance procedures, international travel reporting guidelines, and applicable international agreements to support global military operations.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of direct experience processing and coordinating country and theater clearances.
  • Firm understanding of Defense foreign clearance procedures, regulations, and international travel reporting protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with the Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) policy and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Department Foreign Clearance Program (FCP) and international treaties/agreements relevant to military operations.
  • Formally completed training/certifications:
    • Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) Training

    • Antiterrorism Level II Training

    • OPSEC Level II Certification

    • Defense Travel System (DTS) Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, National Security Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
Clearance:
  • TS/SCI clearance required
