Job summary

Centene is hiring a Data Scientist III for an onsite role in Missouri to support Ambetter forecasting and reporting. You will develop predictive models, analytics frameworks, and data products aiding financial planning, pricing, and strategic decisions while accounting for regulatory and market changes.

You will design data models, build ML/statistical models, manage feature pipelines, and analyze datasets to drive forecast performance and business insights.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• No sponsorship available for any visa types.
• Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience or Bachelor’s with 7+ years of quantitative analysis in data science.
• Experience with Teradata, MS SQL Server, and Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data models predicting member outcomes and impact of decisions.
• Develop ML and statistical models including forecasting for Marketplace membership.
• Create data assets, feature pipelines, and analytical datasets for forecasting.
• Perform exploratory analysis to identify trends and drivers affecting forecasts.
• Build analysis tools and store results in business-aligned formats.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis from complex data sources.
• Evaluate experiments to monitor metrics and improve outcomes.
• Develop mathematical models to identify patterns and events.
• Present research findings and communicate results clearly.
• Contribute to automated analytics processes for scalable analysis.
• Validate health program outcomes using SAS, R, and other tools.
• Manage multiple projects and assist training of Data Analysts.
• Support liaisons across requirements gathering, documentation, testing, and delivery.
