Job summary

Pacific Rail Services (PRS) seeks a motivated Projections Operations Supervisor to oversee daily automotive rail loading operations at 36800 Sibley Rd, New Boston, MI. This role focuses on inventory management, railcar loading projections, and planning to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The ideal candidate will analyze data, coordinate multiple departments, and lead union employees under the CBA, while driving continuous improvement and on-time production.

• Ability to interpret operational reports and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, inventory management systems, and reporting tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate daily rail loading plans.
• Analyze vehicle inventory and available railcar capacity.
• Create accurate loading projections to support continuous production.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Adjust operational plans based on changing customer requirements, staffing levels, and railcar availability.
• Ensure FIFO inventory processes are consistently followed.
• Monitor aging inventory and address exceptions.
• Track productivity metrics and operational performance.
• Utilize data to support operational decisions.
• Lead and support union employees in accordance with the CBA.
• Provide coaching, feedback, training, and accountability.
• Conduct employee evaluations and support development.
• Promote safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Conduct safety observations and audits.
• Coordinate workflow between departments to ensure efficient vehicle movement.
• Identify and resolve operational issues before they impact production, safety, or customer service.
