Job summary

Germain Ford in Columbus, Ohio seeks an elite Senior Master Technician to serve as Lead Diagnostic Technician. You will diagnose difficult Ford drivability and communication issues, lead technical direction, and mentor the team.

This is a high-level role for a technician with exceptional diagnostic ability and strong Ford IDS/FDRS expertise. Compensation includes $100,000–$150,000 annually plus a $5,000 sign-on for highly qualified candidates, with benefit offerings to start on day one and

Qualifications

• 6 years of Ford diagnostic experience (required).
• Current Ford Senior Master Technician certification (strongly preferred).
• Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Expert-level ability with Ford IDS/FDRS
• Advanced module programming and configuration
• Ability to diagnose complex drivability and performance concerns
• Strong electrical and electronic diagnostic skills
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, scan data, network communication, and system inputs/outputs
• Proven ability to find root causes rather than simply replacing parts
• Experience diagnosing intermittent and hard-to-duplicate concerns
• Ability to serve as the technical leader and diagnostic resource for the shop
• Willingness and ability to mentor other technicians and help develop the team

Responsibilities

• Lead the shop's most challenging diagnostic concerns.
• Provide technical guidance to the team and ensure repairs are diagnosed correctly the first time.
• Be the go-to diagnostic resource for the shop, mentoring others and raising technical standards.
