Job summary

Cavender Ford in Columbus, TX is seeking a Senior Master Technician to serve as the technical anchor in a high-volume service department. You will perform complex diagnostics, heavy mechanical overhauls, advanced electrical work, and drivability repairs across Ford vehicles and pre-owned inventory.

We value diagnostic precision, shop efficiency, and mentoring of technicians to maintain Fixed Right First Time standards and customer safety.

Qualifications

• Active Ford Senior Master Technician certification status required.
• Extensive professional automotive repair experience in a Ford dealership environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ownership of a complete, professional master-level set of tools with a roll-around storage box.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shop in utilizing Ford diagnostic equipment (IDS/FDRS) to isolate complex electrical, drivability, multiplex network, and mechanical failures.
• Perform major engine overhauls, transmission rebuilds, diesel engine repairs, and advanced drivetrain diagnostics strictly to factory standards.
• Assist, guide, and mentor junior technicians, sharing technical knowledge to elevate overall shop performance.
• Execute repairs under warranty with precision and maintain clear, accurate write-ups detailing diagnostic procedures and corrective actions.
• Enforce Fixed Right First Time guidelines to eliminate comebacks and guarantee customer safety.
