Berglund Ford is looking for Diesel Technicians. We are part of Berglund Automotive, a well-established and reputable automotive group with 10 locations, representing 20 different automotive brands throughout Southwest and Central Virginia.

Job Summary:

As a technician at Berglund Ford, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks while maintaining a positive relationship with customers and service advisors in the shop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience as a Diesel Technician.
• Ford experience a PLUS.
• Knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and the ability to use diagnostic equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new automotive technologies.
