Job summary

Quirk Auto Dealerships in Quincy, MA seeks an experienced Ford Certified Service Technician for our busy Service Department. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing vehicles, with opportunities to advance within a growing dealership group.

The technician will use diagnostic equipment, perform test-drives, and provide accurate repair estimates while focusing on customer needs and service quality.

Qualifications

• Experience as Ford Certified Service Technician or equivalent.
• Experience with Ford, Mopar or General Motors and diesel is preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, drug test, and motor vehicle record check (if applicable).
• In-person, full-time role in Quincy, MA.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment and special tools to test vehicle components.
• Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs.
• Diagnose engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, and A/C systems.
• Provide service advisor with estimates for additional repairs.
• Assess customer needs and propose effective repair solutions.

Position Overview

Quirk Commercial Truck Center in Quincy is seeking an experienced Ford Certified Service Technician for our busy Service Department! Quirk Auto has opportunities for inspired and motivated individuals who have the desire and passion to succeed. Experience preferred in Ford, Mopar or General Motor and Diesel.

Key Required Proficiencies

• Using Diagnostic Equipment and Special Service tools to test vehicle components
• Test-driving vehicles for diagnosis and repair verification
• Diagnosing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, air conditioning, etc
• Providing the Service Advisor with an estimate of any additional repairs needed
• Assess individual client needs and think of innovative ways to get results
