Lafayette Ford Lincoln in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have ASE & Ford certifications and 2+ years of technician experience, handling repairs, diagnostics and customer communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required.
• Ford Certification preferred.
• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred.
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Dexterity and steady hand with good hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with ability to operate diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to improve.
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
• Team player capable of collaborating with others.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership protocols.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components/systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C).
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about needed additional services and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
