Job summary

Ace Motor Sales in New Jersey is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has Ford certification, ASE certification, and 2+ years of service technician experience.

Duties include diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicle systems and communicating repair estimates to customers. We offer competitive pay starting at $21/hour, health and dental insurance, a union position, and opportunities for growth within the dealership.

Qualifications

2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required.
Ford Certification.
Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred.
B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
Dexterity with steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Excellent customer service and basic computer competencies.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C).
Communicate with Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates.
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
