Job summary

The Outreach Team in Columbus, OH is hiring for Community Canvassers and Team Leaders to turn out voters through door-to-door outreach through Election Day. Compensation starts at $27/hour with bonuses; Lead roles start at $29/hour with overtime, driver, and referral bonuses.

Hiring Immediately - $27-29/hr + bonuses

Help us turn out voters in Ohio to get out the vote and win!

Grassroots efforts are ramping up and we are looking for a team of canvassers to help us reach voters who deserve a voice in this election. From now through Election Day, our team is connecting directly with voters on the ground through door-to-door outreach. We will be supporting candidates who champion progressive values and our shared vision for the future, encouraging people to get out and vote for progressive leaders down the ticket.

Get paid well!

Canvassing positions start at $27/hour. Team Lead positions start at $29/hour. We offer overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals. Bonuses add up fast: earn up to $40 extra per shift, and $150 or more by referring friends!

With a double shift bonus, canvassers can earn $265+ in a single day!

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through Nov 3rd with possibilities for advancement afterwards.

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect complete survey answers from voters
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Follow the campaign's safety protocols
• The Canvasser Responsibilities plus:
• Manage a small group of canvassers out in the field by checking in with them periodically throughout the day, and debriefing with them at the end of the day
• Ensure each canvasser has all of the materials they need to be successful
• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work

The ideal candidate:

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
• Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required
