Job summary

Rack Room Shoes in Maryland is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to deliver friendly, helpful service and maintain accurate cash handling and sales documentation.

You will help present merchandise, stay informed on current promotions, assist customers with fitting shoes, and support store management in daily operations to create an exemplary shopping experience.

Experience in retail or footwear is helpful; basic math and communication skills are required, and staff training is provided.

• Knowledge of store policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised properly.
• Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and merchandise placement on the sales floor.
• Process all cashier transactions in accordance with policy; ensure shoes are checked for mates.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions per policy and procedures.
