Job summary

Hibbett, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in Blytheville, Arkansas. The role supports the Store Manager in daily operations and customer-focused service, ensuring merchandising, stocking, and scheduling align with store goals.

The Assistant Manager is knowledgeable about each department, upholds company policies, and steps in to lead when the Store Manager is absent. This is a non-exempt, hourly position.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Develop action plans with Store Manager for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Manage store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure departmental responsibilities are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service per policy manuals.
• Support extraordinary customer service and promote merchandise.
