Job summary

Fwrd in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Associate Product Developer/Designer, Footwear & Accessories, a full-time hybrid role focused on footwear from concept sketching to vendor communication and production.

The ideal candidate combines design creativity with the development process, with experience across overseas vendors, CAD, tech packs, PLM, and cost management. Collaborative cross-functional work with Design, R&D, Tech and Production is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in footwear design and/or product development.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop; PLM experience a plus.
• Experience working with overseas vendors and manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of seasonal footwear collections aligned with market trends.
• Create detailed footwear sketches and CADs; execute tech packs from concept to production.
• Negotiate FOB costs, approve materials, trims, and color details with vendors.
• Own calendars, PLM updates, and costing processes to meet deadlines.
