Job summary

Under Armour seeks a Footwear Concept Creation professional to bring ideas to life through hands-on concept development and rapid prototyping. You will translate design direction and athlete insights into physical and digital prototypes, collaborating with Design, Development, Product Line Management, Innovation, and factory partners.

This role explores new making methods to strengthen product performance, creativity, and brand expression, contributing to cutting edge footwear that reflects UA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with typically 2 years of related experience OR Master's degree without experience OR typically 6 years of relevant experience without degree.
• Footwear making, cobbling, prototyping, and customizing in a sample room setting.
• Pattern designs with lasts, materialize, and assemble footwear prototypes.
• 3D modeling along with 3D printing experience is a plus.
• Familiar with Industrial sewing machines and other machinery.
• Demonstrated project organizational skills.
• Demonstrated aptitude for communicating technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills; presentation and public speaking skills.
• Builds strong working relationships inside and outside the organization.
• Ability to work across the innovation organization, within a group, and independently with only general supervision.
• Entrepreneurially curious and creative; self-motivated, and disciplined.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively to produce cutting edge designs reflecting Under Armour's DNA and brand standards.
• Develop a strong point of view based on your inspirations and experiences.
• Build partnerships with creative peers while turning concepts into physical and digital prototypes.
• Push manufacturing methods and explore new processes to enhance footwear innovation.
• Create work that is compelling and defines UA footwear advances.
• Evaluate prototype construction and factory repeatability; suggest improvements.
• Demonstrate flexibility and multi-task projects across overlapping timelines.
