Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Footwear Associate Designer to join a fast-paced design team in New York. You will support seasonal footwear collections from trend research through technical development, fittings, and commercialization.

The role requires a strong foundation in footwear design and construction, proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and the ability to work hands-on within an established process while bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Footwear Design, Industrial Design or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional footwear design experience.
• Strong understanding of footwear construction, lasts, outsoles, leather and materials.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop footwear concepts across boots, flats, heels and fashion categories.
• Create and maintain tech packs, material specs, colorways and component details.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Sourcing, Technical Design and Merchandising.
• Manage line sheets, presentation boards, and development documentation.
• Participate in fittings from prototype to final samples and track changes.
• Communicate design intent with external vendors and manufacturing teams.
• Assist with accessory categories such as belts as needed.
