Job summary

Saddleback Valley Unified School District - ELS Department is seeking energetic leaders to join the TLC Before and After-School Child Care Team in Rancho Santa Margarita. You'll help run the program for K-6 students, plan engaging activities, and supervise Student Child Care Leaders to keep everyone safe and having fun.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 2:15 pm–6:00 pm. Enjoy no holidays, no late evenings, and paid vacation as you contribute to a rewarding program that blends learning with play.

Qualifications

• Be part of facilitating an engaging child care program for K-6.
• Plan, organize, and lead activities that keep children learning.
• Supervise children and guide Student Child Care Leaders safely.

What You’ll Do:

• Be part of facilitating an awesome, engaging child care program for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
• Plan, organize, and lead exciting activities that keep children engaged and learning.
• Supervise school-age children and guide Student Child Care Leaders, making sure everyone has fun while staying safe.

What You Need:

• A smile! Be ready to bring out the best in children through sports, games, crafts, and activities.
• Basic skills in math, reading, and writing, with the ability to keep records and communicate effectively.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Have completed two years of college or 48 units, or an AA degree or higher.
• No college credits? No problem. Take a brief District Proficiency Exam in mathematics, reading, and writing. A test can be scheduled here.
