Job summary

The University of Hawai'i is seeking a Casual Hire - Football Personnel and Recruiting Assistant to support day‑to‑day operations for current student athletes. You will work closely with the Head Coach, Chief of Staff, and UH Athletics staff in a temporary, full‑time capacity.

You will help develop life after football programs, coordinate onboarding, and manage donor relations while upholding NCAA and university policies. Flexibility for day/night/weekend hours is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in athletic administration, educational administration, education, business or related field.
• One year NCAA Division I administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work with all segments of the University of Hawaii community and the public.
• Knowledge of organizational design and administrative practices in intercollegiate athletics.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coaches, student‑athletes, and the public.
• Able to understand and communicate complex policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach and Chief of Staff with day‑to‑day tasks involving current student athletes.
• Establish a developmental program for life after football.
• Coordinate onboarding of new incoming student athletes.
• Oversee donor relations and engagement.
• Mentor student‑athletes on core values and standards.
• Create and implement individual development plans addressing academics and personal goals.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and collaborative workplace with UH Athletics staff.
