Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County is seeking a fulltime board certified/board eligible orthopedic surgeon with experience in foot and ankle procedures. Candidates with subspecialty fellowships are welcome. You will develop an elective surgical practice at UCI Health community sites and cover general orthopedic calls.

The role sits within the expanding Specialty Care Associates network, collaborating with physicians across the UCI Health system to ensure high quality patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement to improve patient outcomes.
• Leadership skills; ability to motivate, inspire, communicate with faculty, residents, staff, and peers to maintain a professional, team-based approach in the care of patients.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives while in compliance of all UC policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all state and federal privacy laws.
• Candidates must possess a M.D. or D.O. degree
• Successful completion of fellowship.
• Board-certified or eligible.
• Eligible for California licensure.
• Active and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification.
• Experienced in providing and/or oversight of care.

Responsibilities

• Develop an elective surgical practice at the UCI Health community clinical sites and cover general orthopedic call.
• Grow a practice and foster collegial relationships with community-based physicians, specialty surgeons, and other providers across the UCI Health system.
• Be part of the expanding Specialty Care Associates (SCA) community network, working with other physicians and surgeons in the SCA network.
