Job summary

UC Irvine Health is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible surgeon with experience in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery. The candidate will develop an elective surgical practice at the UCI Health community clinical sites and cover general orthopedic call.

The role sits within the expanding Specialty Care Associates network, collaborating with physicians and surgeons across the UCI Health system to advance patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement to improve patient outcomes.
• Leadership skills; ability to motivate, inspire, communicate with faculty, residents, staff, and peers to maintain a professional, team-based approach in the care of patients.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives while in compliance of all UC policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all state and federal privacy laws.
• Successful completion of fellowship.
• Board-certified or eligible.
• Eligible for California licensure.
• Active and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification.
• Experienced in providing and/or oversight of care.

Responsibilities

• Develop an elective orthopedic foot and ankle surgery practice at UCI Health community sites.
• Cover general orthopedic on-call duties.
• Grow a practice and foster relationships with community-based physicians and other providers across the UCI Health system.
