Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Lake Charles, LA area sales professional to develop independent account business with emphasis on profitability through new sales and account penetration. Promote and sell company branded products to meet brand sales objectives and support regional/customer service activities to increase market visibility.

The role emphasizes territory management, client relations, and collaborative teamwork within the sales department to maximize market share and drive

Qualifications

• 2+ years of foodservice sales, culinary, procurement, or restaurant management related work experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generates additional business by analyzing territory and customers; conducts product samples and sales presentations.
• Grows sales and profit margins to meet goals.
• Sets up new customer accounts with pricing and coordination with Credit for approvals and deliveries.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by coordinating with center personnel to resolve issues; may assist with deliveries in emergencies.
• Builds additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize profitability.
• Monitors accounts for credit terms and follows up on delinquencies to minimize receivables problems.
• Maintains awareness of pricing trends to ensure competitive pricing.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
