Job summary

Performance Food Group, a leading broadline distributor, seeks an outside sales professional to own an independent account book in Monroe, LA. You will drive new business and expand existing accounts while maintaining end-to-end responsibility for relationships and profitability.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in chef/restaurant leadership and 2+ years of a B2B outside sales role, plus a valid driver's license. Growth opportunities and a team-centric culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6-12 months sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Sales/Marketing, or related area (preferred).
• 1-2 years foodservice sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Generates additional business by analyzing sales territory and customers; samples products; plans sales strategy and territory management.
• Grows sales and profit margins to meet goals.
• Sets up new customer accounts with pricing and credit alignment; schedules deliveries.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through coordination with center personnel and timely service.
• Builds additional business with current customers through product penetration.
• Monitors credit terms to minimize receivables.
• Keeps aware of pricing trends to ensure competitive pricing.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
