Job summary

Garland Commercial Ranges is seeking a Tech Service Specialist to provide technical phone and email support for all Garland products. You will analyze customer situations, advise on parts and repairs, and back up service coordinators, with notes entered into the dispatch and warranty systems.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to travel to field sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background with gas & electricity knowledge; read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent organizational skills; self-sufficient, can prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
• Clear English communication with all staff levels, in writing and verbally.
• Willingness to adjust solutions and hours to meet customer expectations with urgency.
• Ability to train end users and develop training materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and parts expertise to service techs, agencies, sales and customers via phone and email.
• Advise customers on replacement and repair parts using systems and data.
• Assist in determining needed repairs from field info and customer discussions.
• Identify, communicate, and resolve customer quality or spec issues.
• Supervise and motivate Customer Service Coordinators, Technical Service, Field Service, and Invoicing teams.
