Job summary

Baldor Specialty Foods, Inc. is seeking a Picker to accurately select and prepare customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse.

You will use RF scanners, handheld devices, and WMS to retrieve products, build pallets, wrap and label shipments, and ensure adherence to FIFO and food safety standards. You will work with warehouse teams to maintain quality, report discrepancies, and support daily operations while operating pallet jacks/Hi-Lo and following GMP and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse, order picking, distribution, logistics, or fulfillment experience preferred but not required.
• Experience using RF scanners, handheld devices, or warehouse management systems preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Basic math and counting skills preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve picking assignments through warehouse scanning technology, RF scanners, and WMS.
• Accurately select products according to customer orders, product specifications, and operational requirements.
• Verify product descriptions, quantities, lot codes, and order details to ensure order accuracy.
• Operate pallet jacks and Hi-Lo safely and effectively.
• Build pallets according to safety, product handling, and routing requirements.
• Wrap, label, and prepare completed pallets for shipment.
• Maintain proper product rotation using FIFO inventory practices.
• Monitor product quality and identify damaged, expired, or non-conforming products.
• Report inventory discrepancies, shortages, damages, or quality concerns to leadership.
• Maintain productivity and order accuracy while meeting performance standards.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, food safety, QA and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with warehouse ops, inventory, QA, loaders, and leadership to meet daily goals.
• Assist with replenishment, product movement, inventory organization, and other duties.
