Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking an Inventory Controller to support the Warehouse Associate Team Leader by overseeing inventory management for a USDA-regulated facility. You will supervise Warehouse Team Members involved in picking, packing, decanting, and washing ingredients, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety, HACCP, and FSMA standards.

Responsibilities include audits, data entry into ERP, coordinating with Receivers and Shipping Clerks, and training team members on inventory

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a food manufacturing facility environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management practices, food safety, and quality control.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of ERP processes within a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work with others and independently with little supervision.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations and inventory management with Receivers and Shipping Clerks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company environmental programs.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels (raw materials, packaging, finished goods).
• Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts for accuracy.
• Monitor stock levels and assist reordering to prevent shortages.
• Input inventory data into ERP accurately and timely.
• Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and improvements.
• Enforce proper FIFO/FEFO inventory rotation and hygiene standards.
