Job summary

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment) is hiring for a food service role at our arena locations in New York.

You will sell food and beverages on a commission basis, walk stairs with heavy items, and provide courteous service to guests while maintaining appearance guidelines. The position requires handling alcohol responsibly, being comfortable with heights, and working nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 venue environment.

Who are we hiring?

• Selling food, and beverages in various locations throughout the arena on a commission basis
• Will be walking and carrying heavy items up and down stairs
• Provides excellent customer service to guests and serves food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous and accurate manner
• Checks identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages
• Prior sales experience is a plus
• Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.

What will you do?

• Strong communication and customer service skills, be able to handle transactions without a register and be comfortable with heights
• This position also requires you to be comfortable with heavy lifting, able to complete daily and nightly inventory and must be flexible to rotate positions within a shift
• Knowledge of NYC Board of Health Food Handling rules is a plus
• TEAM certification is a plus
• Must be of legal age according to NYS regulations to serve alcohol
• This position works nights, weekends and holidays

Special Requirements

• Able to walk and stand during the entire shift.
• Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment.

Hourly Pay Range

$17-$17 USD
