Job description

Job Summary

Coordinates activities of other food-service employees, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors. Provides leadership in food preparation, presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service with attentive, one-on-one care.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items to company standards.
• Helps plan menus.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service and supervises serving of meals.
• Responds to customer complaints in person or via email.
• Trains employees, assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence.
• Determines work procedures, prepares schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Uses proper systems for required daily, weekly, and monthly reports such as inventory, cash, payroll, and timekeeping.
• Responsible for proper cash handling as established by the Food Accounting Manual.
• Orders food and supplies from approved sources.
• Directs and participates in overall sanitation and safety of the facility.
• Develops sanitation schedule and ensures compliance with cleaning procedures.
• Issues written and oral instructions.
• Helps select and orient employees and oversees their training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
