FOOD TRANSPORTER/DELIVERY DRIVER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

• We are hiring immediately for full time and part time FOOD TRANSPORTER/DELIVERY DRIVER positions.
• Location: LA General Medical Center - 2053 Marengo Street Room 1H2, Los Angeles, CA 90033. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time and part time schedules. Days and hours may vary. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous driving and transporting food waste experience is preferred. This role involves driving a tram to collect food waste from various departments, keeping track of, packaging, and transporting leftovers/food waste to another campus site. Responsibilities include driving for recycling, data aggregation, and logistics management.
• Pay Rate: $23.15 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Delivers food, supplies, and other products to various units using a vehicle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Picking up requisitioned supplies.
• Receiving and inventorying production orders.
• Loading orders onto trucks safely and orderly.
• Unloading at delivery sites.
• Following sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Maintaining food temperature and safety standards.
• Collecting empty containers and rejected merchandise.
• Keeping the vehicle clean and performing routine maintenance.
• Interacting with coworkers to ensure service standards.
• Providing quality customer service.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid state driver’s license and food handler's permit if required.
• Safe operation of vehicles in accordance with traffic laws.
