Elior North America is hiring a Culinary & Transportation Manager for Mississippi State Hospital in Whitfield. This hands-on leadership role coordinates daily culinary and transportation activities, ensuring service quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to drive operations while adhering to food safety standards. Onsite schedule may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High-volume food service, hospitality, healthcare, or logistics experience required.
• ServSafe Certification required (or ability to obtain within timeframe).
• Valid driver’s licence with the ability to safely operate a delivery van.
• Strong customer service and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other business applications.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• Assist with other operational duties as assigned.

The Culinary & Transportation Manager is responsible for coordinating daily activities between the culinary and transportation teams to ensure quality metrics and service standards are consistently achieved. This hands‑on role requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and a customer-focused approach to proactively resolve operational challenges while supporting exceptional service delivery.

• Utilize computer systems to document activities, communicate updates, and complete operational reporting.
• Work independently while effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Assist with other operational duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to load, unload, and transport food and supplies as needed.

Schedule Requirements

• Operation is open seven days a week.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Schedule flexibility is required, with shifts that may begin as early as 4:00 AM or end as late as 8:00 PM.
