Job summary

International Dairy Queen, Inc. is seeking a Product Development Specialist to collaborate with the Product Development team and cross-functional partners to create new products and improve existing offerings.

You will evaluate product, ingredient, and process changes and work with a manager to identify effective solutions, supporting demonstrations, testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting to ensure high-value products for the store level.

Qualifications

• Undergrad degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related field.
• 1–3 years in product development or QA.
• Knowledge of sensory methodologies and testing.
• Ability to interpret data and summarize insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience with lab equipment and data reporting.
• Familiar with GMP/HACCP and food regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new or alternative products and record testing data.
• Report results to supervisor and internal teams.
• Develop item specifications and verify tolerances.
• Monitor market trends and competitive menus.
• Provide technical support and train internal departments.
• Prepare items for review by Councils/Committees.
• Assist with sensory panels and maintain lab equipment.
• Support FSQR by meeting quality and safety requirements.
