Job summary

Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Boston seeks a Storekeeper to receive, store and issue food supplies for the Food Services Department. You will ensure FIFO, inspect containers for kosher status, label perishables, and maintain a clean storeroom and loading dock. Deliver MOW daily and support efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1–2 years of experience, and can lift up to 50 pounds. English fluency and MA driver’s license are required for this on-site role.

• Valid Massachusetts driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and store food supplies according to procedures, practice FIFO.
• Inspect containers and labels to ensure condition and kosher status.
• Label and date perishable foods received.
• Store items in the appropriate environment and organize by commodity.
• Maintain clean storeroom, loading dock, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Move racks, sweep and mop storeroom daily; clean air curtains daily.
• Monitor temperature sheets and follow safety rules.
• Assist in establishing inventory systems and call in milk/ice cream as needed.
• Deliver MOW daily and demonstrate initiative in assignments.
