Job summary

Hebrew SeniorLife is seeking a Storekeeper to manage receiving, storage, and issuing of food supplies for the Food Services Department. The role includes inspecting containers for kosher quality, labeling perishables, and maintaining clean storerooms.

You will collaborate with the Receiving Supervisor and ensure timely MOW delivery. Qualifications include a high school diploma, 1–2 years’ experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and store food supplies according to procedures with FIFO practice.
• Inspect containers for condition and kosher status upon receipt.
• Label and date perishable foods; store promptly by commodity and environment.
• Maintain storeroom, loading dock, refrigerators and freezers in clean, sanitary condition.
• Deliver MOW daily and assist in inventory systems.
• Call in milk and ice cream as needed and support department operations.
• Follow safety rules and keep work areas orderly.
