Job summary

The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Food Services Supervisor to oversee detainee meal preparation, sanitation, and related operations in a correctional setting.

You will supervise detainees, ensure safety and compliance, maintain logs, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with facility staff. A high school diploma and prior food service experience are required; ACA training and state requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ACA required training and facility standards completed.
• Experience in commercial or institutional food service.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and monitor detainees assigned to Food Services.
• Monitor detainee movements, counts, and respond to emergencies.
• Perform shakedowns for contraband materials and confiscate prohibited items as per policies and procedures.
• Keep daily logs on detainees (including disciplinary reports).
• Provide prompt and appropriate assistance to those who have been injured, ill, or have suffered trauma.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to keep your facility clean.
