Job summary

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is seeking a Food Services Set Up Crew member to help bring events and guest experiences to life. Under supervision, you will assist with setting up and breaking down concession areas, transport supplies, and help clean and maintain equipment and spaces.

You should pay attention to detail, stay flexible, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. Experience in food service is welcome but not required; ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays is expected, and

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
• Candidates must be able to take direction, have sense of urgency, work independently, with a team and multi-task.
• Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Work schedules include weekdays, weekends, and can include holidays.
• Must have the physical ability to work on your feet and be able to walk the Zoo grounds for several hours at a time.
• The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana

Our Food Services team is in search of people who are passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience.

This position will play an essential role in bringing events and guest experiences to life. Under direct supervision from full-time staff, this position will assist with setting up and breaking down of events and concessions areas, clean and maintain equipment and spaces, and assist with transporting supplies. From preparing buffet setups and guest tables to using event diagrams and equipment like golf carts, vacuums, and floor scrubbers. The ideal candidate must be able to pay attention to details, be flexible, and have strong communication and customer service skills with staff and clients.

Minimum Training & Qualifications:
