Job summary

Yona is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) for Food Services to join the team in Indiana. The MIT will learn to organize, plan, direct, and supervise the dietary department providing nutrition services to residents in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities include leading dining programs, training staff, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with standards while promoting resident satisfaction and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher in food service management or hospitality from an accredited institution.
• Food service supervisory experience required; long term care experience preferred.
• Certifications: ServSafe Manager and CDM/CFPP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food Services Director in leading dining programs that enhance resident meals.
• Ensure programs meet federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
• Train staff in procedures and equipment operation.
• Supervise and evaluate department staff and plan staffing schedules.
• Maintain records: inventory, compliance, expenses, and personnel.
• Manage a cost-effective program and promote resident satisfaction.
• Participate in facility meetings and committees and follow policies.
• Support professional growth and conduct quality assurance rounds.
