Job summary

United Methodist Ministry with Children and Families, Inc. is seeking a Food Services Technician to manage receiving and inventorying goods for distribution to group homes.

You will open boxes, inspect contents, label and date items, and coordinate delivery with staff. The role is based in the cafeteria, requires a flexible schedule including overnights, weekends and holidays, and includes maintaining ServSafe certification while ensuring safe food handling and clean work environments.

Qualifications

• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Associate’s degree in related field and one (1) year experience working with food or food prep; or High School Diploma and three (3) years working with food or food prep.
• Strong people skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives and inventories goods upon arrival; inspect for damage, restore damaged items with the driver if needed.
• Label, date and portion food; distribute to homes
• Communicates with staff to schedule pickup and delivers items to locations
• Cleans up after distributions; disinfects surfaces and tidies cafeteria area
• Organizes janitorial supplies and tracks quantities for reorder with Operations Manager
• Maintains all food storage areas; documents spoiled items and disposes properly
• Furnishes supplies upon request to departments and donor items as needed
• Relays information from nutrition/USDA guidance to staff
• Creates and maintains menus and food recipes for group homes
• Performs other duties as assigned by Campus Life Director
