A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Food Services Attendant II to join their Nutrition & Food Services department. This role involves operating kitchen equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring high standards of food service. The position is part-time and requires flexibility in shifts. Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Exposure to noise, water, fluctuating temperatures and unpleasant odors normally associated with the warewashing areas in an institutional food service facility.Significant periods of standing and reaching, resulting from prolonged lengths of time spent at workstations.Pushing and pulling of utility carts, garbage carts, and lowerators weighing up to 160lbs.Exposure to various chemical compounds and cleaners some of which require special handling.Hands are in water for long periods of time.Frequently required to lift weights of 25lbs - 40lbs.Must have ability to operate both the dish machine and the pot was machine.Must be able to work holidays, weekends and flexible hours as workload demands.Please note: Classifications Under Review.
Description: The Food Services Attendant II performs higher level duties in the Nutrition & Food Services department. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.
Required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent required.
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.Displays superior eye/hand coordination, manual dexterity and speed for working on a tray/dish line.Must have high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.Must be able to understand proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.Must possess good interpersonal skills.Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to plan for deadlines.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Ability to follow directions and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).Food Safe.
