Job summary

Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah seeks a Food & Nutrition Services Associate to prepare and deliver meals for patients, staff and visitors, helping ensure nourishment and excellent care.

You will take patient orders, assemble trays for prescribed diets, record dietary data and communicate needs to Dietitians, assist with catering events and customer service at the point of sale, while keeping dishes and work areas clean.

Qualifications

• Food handlers permit or ServSafe certification is required.
• Experience in food service, hospital diet office, and cash register is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver food trays to hospital patients.
• Obtain orders from patients and assemble items for prescribed diets.
• Record daily dietary data and relay needs to Dietitians.
• Assist with catering events and food purchases at the point of sale.
• Wash dishes and clean work areas and equipment.
• Receive shipments and store food and supplies properly.
• Inventory and stock items for hospital departments.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Food & Nutrition Services Associate at our facility you will have the opportunity to be both a nutrition professional and a caregiver, providing delicious and nutritious meals for patients, staff, and others when they need it most. You will be joining a hard-working and compassionate team that is so vital for the day-to-day functions of our hospital.

In this role:

• You will prepare and deliver food trays to hospital patients.


• You will obtain food orders from patients and determine/place apportioned, prepared items needed for specific diets on trays and examine the trays for accuracy.


• You will record daily dietary data for patients and provide pertinent diet information to Dietitiansregardingthe special needs of patients.


• You willassistwith catering events.


• You willassistcustomers with cashregisterfood purchases.


• You will wash dishes and clean work areas, counters, and equipment.


• You will receive shipments andproperlystorefoodand supplies.


• You will inventory and stock items needed in various areas of the hospital.


• You will ensure client,customerservice/satisfaction by providing efficient, friendly customer service.


• You willassistwithpots and pans.

What qualifications you will need:

• Food Handlers Permit orServSafeCertificationrequired.


• Food service, hospital diet office, and cash register experience preferred.


• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.


• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
