Job summary

Cache Valley Hospital is seeking a part-time Food Services Associate to join our Food & Nutrition Services team. You will prepare and deliver meals, gather patient diet orders, and help ensure patient-centered meals are accurate and timely.

You will also assist with catering, stock, and scheduling tasks while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service. The role requires English proficiency and a Food Handlers Permit or ServSafe Certification.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Permit or ServSafe Certification required.
• English language ability required (read/write/speak).
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver food trays to hospital patients.
• Obtain food orders from patients and determine portions for specific diets.
• Record dietary data and share with Dietitians for patient needs.
• Assist with catering events.
• Assist customers with cash register food purchases.
• Wash dishes and clean work areas, counters, and equipment.
• Receive shipments and store food and supplies properly.
• Inventory and stock items in various hospital areas.
• Provide efficient, friendly customer service.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Food & Nutrition Services Associate at our facility you will have the opportunity to be both a nutrition professional and a caregiver, providing delicious and nutritious meals for patients, staff, and others when they need it most. You will be joining a hard-working and compassionate team that is so vital for the day-to-day functions of our hospital.

In this role:

• You will prepare and deliver food trays to hospital patients.
• You will obtain food orders from patients and determine/place apportioned, prepared items needed for specific diets on trays and examine the trays for accuracy.
• You will record daily dietary data for patients and provide pertinent diet information to Dietitiansregardingthe special needs of patients.
• You willassistwith catering events.
• You willassistcustomers with cashregisterfood purchases.
• You will wash dishes and clean work areas, counters, and equipment.
• You will receive shipments andproperlystorefoodand supplies.
• You will inventory and stock items needed in various areas of the hospital.
• You will ensure client,customerservice/satisfaction by providing efficient, friendly customer service.
• You willassistwithpots and pans.

What qualifications you will need:

• Food Handlers Permit orServSafeCertificationrequired.
• Food service, hospital diet office, and cash register experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
