HCA Florida Northside Hospital in Saint Petersburg, FL is hiring a Food Services Assistant PRN to support meal preparation, serving patients and visitors, and kitchen harmony. This role requires no travel and no prior experience.

As a flexible PRN team member, you will follow safety protocols, assist with stocking and dishwashing, and help assemble patient trays. The hospital offers a robust benefits package and career opportunities within a large health system.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine duties related to preparation and serving of food.
• Prepare food for cooking by washing, peeling, shredding, slicing, and mixing various food items.
• Operate dishwasher or assist with washing/sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, etc.
• Clean kitchen work areas, collect and dispose of garbage.
• Assist with food stocking.
• Serve food in cafeteria for visitors and staff and in patient room.
• Work in the dish room when needed.
• Work on patient tray assembly line following menu directives for determining food items for each tray.
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
