Job summary

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a PRN Food Service Assistant to support patient meals, tray assembly, portioning, snacks, tube feeds, and supplements. You will deliver trays to patient rooms and ensure meals meet sanitation standards in a fast-paced hospital environment.

This role emphasizes customer service and teamwork within the Food Service department. A High School Diploma and 1 year of food service experience are preferred; PRN opportunities offer flexible scheduling and access to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble patient meal trays and portions of food.
• Prepare snacks, tube feedings and supplements as directed.
• Deliver floor stock and special items to units and to patients' rooms.
• Ensure tasks are completed safely and according to sanitation policies.
• Provide high level of customer service and work with the team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Food Service Worker is responsible for routine daily tasks related to patient food service. These tasks include, but not limited to, tray assembly, portioning of food; preparation of snacks, tube feedings, and supplements; delivery of floor stock and special items to the units; delivery of patient meal trays into patients’ rooms. Ensures that all tasks are completed safely, and in strict adherence to Food and Nutrition cleaning / sanitation policies and other related policies and procedures. A always provides the highest level of customer service. All other duties as assigned.
