Job summary

MSAD 54 is seeking a Food Service Worker at the Skowhegan Area Middle School to join the Support Services team. The role is 25 hours per week during the school year, with pay scale ranging from $19.46 to $23.54 per hour.

Responsibilities include following standardized recipes, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, and collaborating with staff to ensure timely meal production and reporting. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or HiSET required.
• Knowledge of program requirements and records.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Ability to complete tasks and reports in a timely manner.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to follow recipes.
• Knowledge of quantity food production, storage and handling, sanitation, chemical handling (SDS), HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals following recipes and HACCP guidelines.
• Maintain proper storage and inventory of food and supplies.
• Complete required reports and records in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure safe, compliant service.
