Southern Foodservice Management, Inc. is hiring a Food Service Worker- Salad Bar for our IRS location in Austin, TX. The shift runs 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a pay range of $16.00 - $17.00 per hour.

The role involves preparing and stocking the salad bar, assisting cooks with prep, operating kitchen equipment safely, serving guests, and maintaining overall cleanliness and food safety standards in both FOH and BOH areas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble salad bar items; stock grab-and-go cooler.

• Operate kitchen equipment safely (slicers, choppers, ovens).
• Provide prompt, friendly service at serving lines during meals.
• Replenish items during service and assist with post-meal cleanup and general kitchen duties.
• Maintain a clean salad station and adhere to sanitation guidelines.

Southern Foodservice Management, a national contact food service company, is now looking to hire a Food Service Worker- Salad Bar for our IRS location in Austin, TX.

• The schedule is Monday - Friday.
• The pay range is $16.00 - $17.00 per hour.
• Work schedule is 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble yogurt bar, salad bar. Rotate and stock grab and go cooler.
• Responsible for preparation work of menu items as assigned by Cook I and Cook IIs including but not limited to slicing, dicing, chopping, cutting, rolling, mixing, washing, rinsing, panning, slacking, etc.
• Operate equipment such as slicers, buffalo choppers, and ovens safely and efficiently.
• Responsible for efficiently and proficiently serving customers on the serving lines during meal service times. Must maintain proper flow rate of customers as prescribed by Management.
• Perform simple cooking tasks such as 1 step heating (i.e. scoop and bake cookies) as assigned by Cook I.
• Maintain a clean and organized salad station, following all sanitation and food safety guidelines; both in the FOH and the BOH preparation area.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and fulfilling their needs accurately.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure consistency in service and food quality.
• Replenishing food items as required during service, breakdown service areas after the meal period and assisting with general kitchen duties as needed, including caterings, cleaning and dishwashing.

Cleaning Assignment

• Must maintain cleanliness and appearance of service line and areas during meal periods wiping up spills and maintaining a clean and neat appearance.
• Clear service lines and thoroughly clean service lines and areas after meal service.
• Perform other cleaning tasks assigned by Cook I, Shift Leader or Management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in a deli, cafeteria, or food service setting preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Other Duties and Tasks

• All staff members are also responsible for other duties or tasks that are assigned by the Managers or Supervisors, as a part of any "Job" or "Position" assigned during a normal work schedule. Team members may be assigned to support the meal production, service and cleaning after the meal or the dining facility.
