Job summary

Southern Foodservice Management Inc. in Austin, TX is hiring a Food Service Worker- Salad Bar for a Monday–Friday shift from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at a pay range of $16.00 to $17.00 per hour. This role supports the salad and yogurt bar, assists with prep, and serves guests during meal periods.

Applicants should have prior deli or food service experience, knowledge of food safety practices, and strong customer service skills to ensure a smooth operation and high-quality service at the IRS location.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a deli, cafeteria, or food service setting preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble yogurt bar and salad bar; rotate and stock grab and go cooler.
• Perform prep work of menu items as assigned (slicing, dicing, chopping, cutting, rolling, mixing, washing, etc.).
• Operate equipment such as slicers, buffalo choppers, and ovens safely and efficiently.
• Serve customers on the serving lines during meal service times and maintain proper flow rate.
• Replenish food items during service and assist with general kitchen duties (catering, cleaning, dishwashing).
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of FOH and BOH areas per guidelines.
