Job summary

Detroit Lakes Public Schools Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) seeks a Part-time Food Service Worker to support nutritious meals and provide a welcoming experience for students.

Schedule is 10:00am - 1:30pm, Monday - Friday when school is in session, with alternate hours possible for substitutes. Duties include meal prep, serving, dishwashing and cashiering, with a starting wage of $18.00 per hour and progressive salary options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of food preparation methods and utensils.
• Strong customer service and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Follow written and oral instructions and manage time well.
• Dependable and organized in fast-paced environments.
• Preferred: food handler certification and basic computer skills.

Food Service Worker(Server/Dishwasher/Cashier)

Summary

Performs a variety of FNS duties according to department requirements, including but not limited to; preparation, serving, dishwashing, cashiering and clean-up.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education:High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience:Previous Related Experience in high volume food service

Special Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, Licensure Required

• 1. Knowledge of materials and methods used in food preparation.
• 2. Knowledge of care and use of cooking utensils and equipment.
