Job summary

Judson Park in Des Moines, WA, is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker to support trayline setup, serving residents, and dining room cleanliness. The role may include morning or evening shifts, with Saturdays and Sundays split, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, maintaining hygiene, stocking supplies, and following therapeutic diet orders. A Food Handler Certification is required or obtainable, and prior food handling experience is essential.

The Food Service Worker performs any or all duties associated with setting up and working on a trayline, serving food to residents, washing dishes and/or pots and pans, bussing dishes, preparing food, such as salads, desserts, garnishes and/or maintaining cleanliness of food service and dining room areas. May be required to work varying shifts, including morning or evening shifts.

Part time schedule, 6AM-2:30PM Saturdays and Sundays

Pay range: $18.00-$22.12 per hour, depending on years of relevant experience

Work Duties

• Provides dining service to Residents, guests and family members as needed.
• Prepares trays and serves food according to menus and following therapeutic diet orders.
• Maintains or exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.
• Follows daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Restocks supplies as needed.
• Maintains all side stations and dining areas using the “clean as you go” policy.
• Keeps work areas clean and maintains sanitary conditions.
• Attends all in-services as required.
• Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Follows all policies and procedures relating to food service to meet or exceed community standards.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

To be successful in the role, you would have:

• Previous food handling experience required
• Current Food Handlers Certification, or willingness to obtain, required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience with senior populations preferred
