Job Summary

This position pays $17.90 per hour with $4.93 Health and Welfare (H&W). Must be available for all three shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Ensure compliance with performance work standards for food handling, serving, cleaning, and distribution. Perform a variety of manual tasks in the kitchen or dining area, involving light to moderate physical effort, following established procedures.

Primary Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

  • Set up food on cafeteria lines and portion food for individual servings according to instructions.
  • Replace glassware, dishes, and silverware; refill condiment containers; wipe and wash tables and countertops.
  • Clean work areas, utensils, and equipment; remove garbage; mop floors; clean walls and windows.
  • Remove dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware; operate dishwashing equipment or wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes manually.
  • Prepare food by peeling, cutting, dicing, chopping, washing, or opening cans and cartons.
Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, work areas, utensils, and tables.
  • Immediately notify supervisor of malfunctioning, unsafe, or hazardous equipment.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must pass a military installation background check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Well-organized and self-directed.
  • Ability to serve customers efficiently and courteously after training.
Physical Demands

Employees must meet physical requirements to perform essential functions, with reasonable accommodations available.

Regularly required to use hands, reach, talk, and hear; stand and walk; occasionally lift up to 25 pounds; specific vision abilities include close, distance, and depth perception.

Work Environment

The noise level is usually moderate to loud. The environment may involve exposure to various physical conditions.
