Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Full-time Food Service Worker II (Team Lead) on rotating shifts. You will lead daily food and tray line setup, service, and sanitation, train new staff, and manage inventory while enforcing portion control and safety guidelines.

The position requires a High School Grad, a Food Service Handler’s Card, and 2 years of food service experience; cook and leadership experience are preferred, with strong customer service skills valued.

Overview:

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Full-time, Rotating Shift, Food Service Worker II (Team Lead) for Food Services

Full-time, Rotating Shifts, working both day and evening shifts.

Acts as Lead person and leads Food Service Workers in daily food and tray line set up, service and clean up/sanitation. Helps train new staff; conducts inventory, assigns tasks, monitors portion control and ensures service areas and equipment are sanitized and cleaned and procedures for recipes, menus, quality and safe food handling guidelines are followed.

Certified Food Service Handler’s Card (as required by local Health Department). Food Handlers required upon hire for all locations for SLC positions

Education:

• High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)

Certification/Licensure:

• Food Service Handler’s Card (as required by local Health Department) (Required)

Experience:

• 2 Years Food Service Experience (Required)
