Description

The Food Services Worker supports the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory standards.

  • Prepares cold food items and assists with support activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares cold food items for patients and cafeteria.
  • Processes Room Service orders, including those initiated by employees, patients, and families, and assists patients needing help.
  • Completes tray assembly and ensures food safety and sanitation compliance, documenting accordingly.
  • Performs data entry using Microsoft Excel and handles basic cash transactions.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Adheres to department policies and programs, ensuring quality and service satisfaction through problem resolution skills.
  • Completes daily checklists, cleaning duties, and all required documentation.
  • Participates in mandatory in-service trainings and meets health requirements.
  • Washes and sanitizes food service equipment and carts, and cleans work areas and dish machines.
  • Replaces items to their proper storage using FIFO method.
  • Demonstrates independent judgment when needed and assists with stock management.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under stress and take appropriate actions.
  • Physical Demands: Lift/carry up to 12 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

  • One year of customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of diet restrictions.
